Watch Mumbai Diaries on Amazon Prime

Its been some time since something enthralling had come up in Hindi and especially on Amazon Prime. And this one is the perfect answer to that long wait.

Hindi Film making industry has taken a steep downfall with some movies like Radhe and many others which many, including myself havent bothered to even watch the trailer. But the OTT platform has some splendid renderings has has kept the aura alive.

Mumbai Daires 26/11 revolves around the 26/11 incident. You might think that you dont want to see terror movies. But this is about the lives of a bunch of doctors and what they face in their government hospital day and night. It is very necessary in the current scenario where people are becoming atrocious to the doctors and nurses in hospitals. There is a need to realize their plight and this movie is the perfect one to awake the people of the country.

The movie plot is well scripted. The web series is available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. With subtitles anyone ay watch it irrespective of language. The series is so gripping that you will be forced to watch all through the 8 episodes in a go.

They subtle lives of people in the hospital, their emotions, even those minute moments of emotions of the terrorists also brings beauty to the whole thing.

Kolayuthir Kaalam

One of those movies which I have been wondering why I was watching. 🤔🤔

A very short movie, but I wouldn't have watched a second more. Thank God it was on Amazon Prime that I could fast forward the movie. The only plus point is the spellbinding acting skill of Nayan Tara.

The first half tells the story and you feel fine with it. A very rich British general who once lived in British India weds a Tamil Lady. After his death, he leaves his property with his wife. She adopts a deaf and dumb girl while during her charity acts. This girl is Nayan Tara. The immense wealth leaves her with enemies after her adopted mother's death.

Till that it's all fine and good story. But once the story takes a turn on one might when a hooded masked man attacks the mansion and the story drags about 45 minutes though the girl running and this guy chasing. I was forced to forward most seems. Not for an easy quick watch. Its mostly the critique type. I seriously dont like drag movies and every moment should have some story or some element in it.

The end line seems somewhat good, but after all that time looking at the chase, the ending failed to bring any relief to me.

Not a watch to have over a bowl of popcorn.

Movie Review : Kapaan

Where to watch : Amazon Prime Video

Can watch once : of course yes

Waste of time : probably not

Actor Surya has his usual charm. And Lalettan has done simply wow in his befitting role. I had come across some gossips that the role that Mohanlal plays is that of Modiji. The fact holds that the dressing seems the same in some scenes. I didn't find any other similarities what so ever. I will yet run a search and get back on that. But for everything else, the movie is a good one to just watch through without asking too many logical questions.

The thing that I cudnt digest is that, they could have taken the king role of a chief minister or so. Why PM? The whole logic of all the people in Delhi and parliment speaking in Tamil seemed so off for me.

Arya's role could have been made a tad bit better. But his dialogue renditions were good. PM sneaking out on a party and getting drunk seemed rather out of the arena. That's probably we have our notions of the PM of India, and somewhere we feel wronged.

The storyline of the farmers, and the traditional farming system was much needed in today's world. It's a common sight to see farm lands being converted to mines and the scene where Mohanlal gives a befitting reply to the industrialist (Boman Irani) was too good to believe to happen in real. The concept of the Caelifera bugs and how they can destroy the fields seemed rather scary. But that's one truth that there are and could have been done earlier itself.

Overall a good movie to sit back and watch with the aura of Mohanlal Sir and Surya.

Neruppu Da

For all those people who are giving bad reviews about Kabali, take a look at what you are? Do you have the right to talk bad about a man who is still the punch star at this age. I was wondering that I would be bed ridden at some corner of the house probably by the age of 65 and this man is doing action scenes and clear cut dialogues with such perfection.. He is a magic , Thalaivaaaa

The movie is a sentimental note with just the right dose of action unlike those clearly unbelievable tamil movies with unrealistic stunt scenes. The director has done a good job to give Rajni sir the right kind of action moves making the movie realistic. There is no fruits flying and standing in pause mode while the action hero continues his fight. People are fed up of those kind.
There is small reduction in punch dialogues as "Naan Oru thadava Sonna 100 thadava Sonna Mathiri". You, now that link is missing. Somewere, I felt his style of walking was a bit exxagerated, but we are no worthy to talk about this great man.
Actress Dhansika is simply superb. Her screen appearance, acting .. just simply wow.

In a whole, a good movie, with too much of gun shots. My 6 year old son was trembling with the gun shot voices with the excellent dolby sound at Ariesplex. But in a whole, worth the money spent.
