Amar Akbar Anthony At Cinemax Oberon

Its always a pleasure to watch a movie in cochin multiplex when compared to the theatres here in Trivandrum. The one theatre which I liked was Aries SL theatre where we had gone for Jurassic World 3D. It was a rather good experience with good Audio, ambience and the seats most of all. The experience watching Baahubali at Padmanabha Theatre can never be forgotten with the endless mosquito bites, low AC, No Fan and the horrible eatables with all weird branded drinks and pakkavada and potato chips.

This is the reason why I love to indulge into a good seat on a  good movie with caramel popcorn at Cinemax in Oberon. This time due to popular review we got to see Amar Akbar Anthony by Nadir Shah. The first thing that I look out for is my Lovable Caramel Popcorn, but to utter dismay there was no caramel popcorn. We ended with a bucket of cheese and salt popcorn mix. Guys here is a warning.. never buy cheese popcorn in a bucket. you cannot eat more than a handful.

To the movie...

The movie is all about 3 simple guys working for their living from the heart of cochin. The movie is all in comedy. The element of phaedophiles runs in a small section through the movie.Even after the interval the movie doesnt turn serious. but in the later half of the interval the movie gets emotional with phaedophiles matter and ends in finding the phedophiles and punished by the people. The comic element has been well carried on by Prithviraj, Indrajith and Jayasurya in the lead roles. Namitha Mohan has absolutely no role in the movie. Its more like a peek through role or a guest role and for the songs. They cud have added some more element and focus on the phedophile coz the things of the child going missing, finding dead in the canal, police intervention and the finding of the culprit all happens in about half an hour I guess. Seemed like after the whole story was scripted, there was a requirement of a solid message and in the hurry this was inserted.

Would prob give a 7 out of 10 for the movie for the immediate humor sense. Some comedy segments still seemed so unnecessary. Over a simple movie, not a theatre must watch type, but probably you can watch on TV just like that.
